United Investments Portugal (UIP) is one of the IFA Hotels & Resorts consortium members and developed the luxury Sheraton Algarve Hotel that forms part of the Starwood Luxury Collection.

UIP was also the original force behind the creation of IFA Hotels & Resorts flagship operation, Pine Cliffs Resort, which comprises some 70 hectares with golf course, the 215-room Sheraton Algarve Hotel and the Pine Cliffs Vacation Club. Pine Cliffs also pioneered the concept of five star hotel service being extended to all the residents of the resort.

The development model applied to the Pine Cliffs has since become the blueprint for all IFA Hotels & Resorts projects. It set the precedent for ensuring the delivery of properties that combine excellent investment opportunities with experiences which merit the IFA Hotels & Resorts credo: ‘Living à la carte’.
